Andrew McAfee (Author, Co-Founder of the MIT Initiative on the Digital Economy) introduces the key ideas of important digital trends. He highlights the current state of reshaping in the business world, triggered by technological progress. «Technology re-writes the business playbook». There are a lot of questions in our world where answers go beyond our imagination. McAfee uses the example of Go, a very old Chinese strategic board game. For a long time, humans outperformed computers in this game and there was a gap between digital ability and human ability. But then Google AlphaGo AI started winning against the best players. Alpha was able to see weird combinations and identified new ways that no human could ever think about. This switched the gap and it proofs that machines are able to go beyond our imagination and help us to approach a different way of solution-thinking. With transformations in technology, a second playbook where machines have excellent judgement was introduced. McAfee sees new territory where minds and machines explore together.
